Joshua Prompton DDS Prosthodontist
Dr. Joshua Prompton’s treatment philosophy is patient centered with an emphasis on discovering the specific needs and concerns for each of his patients. As the lead prosthodontist at Lux Smiles, he directs our team of specialists and cosmetic dentists to achieve highly esthetic outcomes. He graduated summa cum laude with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Houston Honors College in Houston, Texas. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. Dr. Prompton also completed a 3-year cosmetically-driven residency at the prestigious University of Illinois at Chicago Prosthodontics program. His research on dental implant materials was awarded the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and American Academy of Implant Dentistry grants in 2018. He is an active member in the Chicago Dental Society, American College of Prosthodontists, Illinois State Dental Society, and American Dental Association, Academy of Osseointegration. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Prompton enjoys standup comedy and has performed for multiple dental crowds. He wishes to further his career in comedy through improv classes.
Jamieson Brady, DDS
Dr. Jamieson Brady is a gentle, caring dentist who makes patient comfort his top priority. He graduated from the University at Buffalo summa cum laude with a BS in Biological Sciences and continued to earn his DDS with a concentration in periodontics. While at Buffalo he was active in award-winning research and had several of his studies published in national scientific journals. After graduation he entered an oral & maxillofacial surgery internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Brady’s practice is now focused on tooth extractions with IV sedation. He has a passion for teaching in his role as Clinical Instructor for Western Surgical & Sedation, where he trains dentists from around the world to safely extract impacted wisdom teeth. We understand there can be stress associated with dental procedures – Dr. Brady is trained to recognize this and always works to eliminate the anxiety associated with treatment. Dr. Brady is licensed to administer IV sedation. With IV sedation, patients sleep lightly through the procedure and typically have little or no memory of the event. Our highly trained staff ensures this happens in a safe, controlled environment. Dr. Brady is an active member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society. Outside of dentistry Dr. Brady enjoys skiing, biking, traveling, and live music. He lives in downtown Chicago with his dog Charlie and cat Carl.
Jacqueline Prompton, DDS
Dentistry is my passion and I can’t imagine a life without it.” Dr. Jacqueline Prompton graduated from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston in 1990. She was nominated as a Top Dentist in H Texas magazine. She is an active member in the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society and American Dental Association. Dr. Prompton is a general dentist practicing cosmetic dentistry for nearly 30 years in private practice. Her passion for dentistry played a large role in her son, Dr. Joshua Prompton’s decision to pursue a career in dentistry. In her free time she enjoys family time, traveling and being with nature.
Milica Novakovic, DDS
Dr. Milica Novakovic was born and raised in Serbia and earned her DMD degree at School of Dentistry, University of Belgrade in 2011. After completing one year of GPR residency, she worked in private practice in Belgrade, Serbia for two years before moving to United States in 2015. Dr. Novakovic completed DMD – Advanced Standing program at UIC College of Dentistry in 2020. During her time at Advanced Standing program, Dr. Novakovic was awarded the Dr. Donald L. McElroy Memorial Award for exceptional knowledge and skill in endodontic diagnosis, treatment, and patient management, as well as Pier Fauchard Academy Senior Student Award for leadership, clinical and academic excellence and dedication to the advancement of dental literature. Dr. Novakovic was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honors Society in 2020. She entered the Clinical Specialty Program in Endodontics immediately following graduation. Outside of residency Milica enjoys reading books, practicing martial arts, exploring the city and taking care of her dog, Jazz. Upon completion of residency program, Dr. Novakovic plans to enter private practice as well as to become a Board Certified endodontist. She would also like to teach endodontics to predoctoral students part time.
Kate Murphy
Patient CoordinatorKate is the Patient Coordinator at Lux Smiles. She was born and raised in Willmar, Minnesota and moved to Chicago to further her education. She currently is a senior at Loyola University Chicago studying biology, aspiring to become a dentist. At a young age, Kate realized her passion for dentistry and how she would love to change the negative stereotype of dental visits to positive ones. Growing up, Kate was over joyed when it was time for her routine dental checkup. She hopes to one day have the same effect on patients of her own. Kate wants everyone to enjoy their beautiful smile and doesn’t want patients to be intimidated in making proper steps in achieving their dream smile. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, traveling, and trying out new restaurants throughout Chicago.
